What are your dreams made of?

When I close my eyes at night I like to let my mind dream before I go off to real dream land!

For YEARS I never allowed myself to dream! I went to bed with worry and got up with worry. I looked at the lives of others and wondered how they could afford things or wished we could just make it through the month without such a worry.


The one thing this job has given me is HOPE! The night I began I wrote down and cut out little pictures of dreams I hoped that we could accomplish. I never dreamed three more adoptions could be a part of that dream!

I have learned that daily dreaming is just as important as daily showering! It's ok to dream! It's a positive thing and in fact it's good brain work!  The days when I used to drive to work and the hustle and bustle of rushing out the door I used to think  that there has to be more to life than working all the time just to pay bills.

CASH BONUSES!

I do a LOT of posting on social media! One thing I post a lot about is cash BONUSES! 

I post about it a LOT! I feel like I want to shout it from the roof tops and then shout it OUT again!!!

There are SOOO many companies to pick when it comes to direct sales and network marketing. I did some research when I began. One thing that really made a BIG impression for me with It works was that the company was DEBT free. This means they do NOT owe any one MONEY!!! 

When  a company is debt free then they can pay their distributors better!!!  We NOT only get commissions on sales but we also get cash bonuses!  We can get weekly bonuses or at random times the company will offer different bonuses. 

For example, right now until the end of March they have a RUBY bonus. 

What is a ruby bonus?

This is a 1000 YES ONE THOUSAND dollar bonus for anyone that signs up in the month of March and goes RUBY in TWO months! 

It is 1000 plus commissions! ONE thousand bucks in one lump sum! 

Some times I just can't believe the bonuses they offer! 

Have I ever gotten any of these bonuses? 

YES!!! 

When I first began they did a Christmas cash bonus for $500 and that is how we paid for Christmas that year!

Then the next month was Jan. that was the month I replaced my teaching salary and snagged myself a $10,000 bonus. These bonuses have been life changing for many people on my team and are reachable. 

Any time you mix health and wealth along with some weight loss products together then you create an amazing opportunity to make money! 

This is an amazing business! 

We are blessed to be on the journey!

Paying for adoptions!

Adoptions can be so expensive!

I will never forget trying to get an adoption loan. It is so easy to get a loan for a vehicle but to get a loan for an adoption was like pulling teeth! I couldn't believe the red tape!

Our first adoption we did lots of fund raising.  These are some of the things we did;

Yard sale-we asked others to donate to our yard sale. People donated all kinds of things. We did not do clothing. We had SO much stuff it was coming out of our ears! We made 1800 from the yard sale! It paid for our home study!
gold and silver  sale -this was where a gold company came and others sold their gold and got paid for it. We got a  percentage.
I sewed super hero capes and sold them on my blog.
I sold everything extra in my house (my class ring) Anything I could find that I could sale.
I did photo shoots for a fund raiser.

We did not sale t-shirts or bracelets but I have purchased many of those for many adoptions.

 Every detail and every need was met. We didn't have over what we needed but we had just enough each time we had a need. It was amazing to watch the Lord work and provide for us.



When our second adoptions came we were already doing It works (our direct sales business) I had my eyes opened to how many adoptions it was paying for on our team. One lady was traveling to China right after I joined to adopt her little one. Her adoption was paid for by her It works money. I could not believe it!   Funding our adoption the first time was such a HUGE part but after that it was not a stress any more thanks to It works. Can you pay for an adoption with direct sales? YES! Can you do it in a short time?  YES!

The extra income I was making from It works I could put aside paid for the twins adoption.  I have seen people decide to fund their adoptions with It works and pay for it in full in a very short time. I replaced my teaching salary in 5 short months so I know it can be done. I believe the drive and the "why" that pushes us to share with others can truly help us.  I have thought back so many times to the day I was in the bank trying to get an adoption LOAN and the loan officer saying NO. You can get a second mortgage or a vehicle loan but not an adoption loan. Funding is such a big part that holds people back from adoption and so many more children could find homes if funding was not such a big mountain to climb. I never dreamed how It works could bless our lives in such a way that funding an adoption or two or three would not be such a burden.

New babies joined the hen house🐣

One of our dreams on our dream board when we moved to the land was to have a nice chicken coop! We had a tiny one at our old house. The kids participated in 4-H and  learned about caring for chickens! 

Since moving to the new house we finally got our dream coop! 

Our hens gave us eggs all winter and have been so good to us! 

Today we added new babies to our tribe! 

We are so excited for the new adventure! 

It's the first time we really have room to grow and space to enjoy! 

It's so amazing when dreams come true even chicken coop dreams! 

Working from HOME

How do you work from home in direct sales with a big family?

This is a question a get a LOT from others! When I was a teacher and I began this side job I was also still a mom. The extra income gave me the energy to get work the business on the side to find success.  This is what I did and still do now that I am home full time!

1. I get up before everyone. My brain is fresh and I spend some time thinking of ideas and let myself jot down notes of others that I think would be good at this business with me.
2. I spend time praying during this time. I read and I really just have some ME time.
3. I do 90 percent of my direct sales business on social media so I spend some time deciding what would be a good post for the day.
4. I answer any questions that came in from the night before from my team.
5. I edit photos.
6. I create some post for my social media

Then I go about my day!!! When my twins nap I make some phone calls if possible and return emails, or face book messages. I reach out to people and follow up!

After all my 5 little kids go to bed at night I do team calls and zooms (this is an online conference meeting so I can meet with my team all over the world)

When I worked full time I did some of this during my lunch break or I scheduled time right after work.

It really doesn't suck all your time away but I do make time for my work!

NOW I love what I do and so thankful I set aside the time then and now to grow my business. It was a little bit of a sacrifice in the beginning. I had to learn how to juggle a new thing. I was a MOM to many children with a full time job.  The time restrictions were already hard so finding time was difficult but it can fit in and it was more than worth it.

If you are worried about time and that is what is holding you back from changing your lives and living you dreams then relax and know that it will fit it. It is just a matter of being intentional!   I pushed myself because I knew every single time I did, it brought me one step closer to debt free!

When Baby NUMBER 9 joined our family Part 2

After I had "the dream" and the confirmation from my husband that adoption was in our future. I was like a CRAZY woman in search for a child that was "out there" some where.   In my mind there was a child already born in this world some where that would become a part of our family and I had to find her! I couldn't put the brakes on at this point. Once I make a decision and the green light comes on then I am full speed ahead!  

There are SO many roads to adoption. Domestic adoption is when you adopt within the USA and at the time I was certain I did NOT want to  be a part of. I did not want to know our birth families! (ha...this makes me laugh now!)  

Most domestic adoptions are newborn adoptions and I felt pretty sure our child was born and I didn't really feel called to adopt a new born. There is also foster/adoption. This is where you go through your state and foster children. The goal in this is reunification with the parents. Sometimes the parents do not reunite and then adoption becomes a plan. I personally think I would have liked to have gone this route. When we talked about this and prayed about it, our children felt so sure they did NOT want to go this way.  There is also international adoption. This is where you go outside of your country to adopt.  Even though my dream had a Caucasian girl, I was pretty sure we would go international! UNTIL....I did my own praying!!!

Quickly I felt led to domestic adoption and I was so puzzled by this because the agency we talked with first told me how hard this would be unless we were willing to go through foster/adopt. As we prayed domestic felt right. Against my own desires to go out of the country, domestic became our goal. There is NO timeline with domestic adoption. It is just get ready, get set, and WAIT! 

I was so frustrated by the "system" in the USA. We went through the entire classes locally and trained. We opted out of a FREE homestudy that was offered by the state and paid for one through the agency because that's what we thought was the right thing to do as we researched. Later we discovered that you actually should get BOTH. You need to get a state one so that you are able to adopt children that are in state care and you need a private one so that you can adopt children that with private agencies! I NEVER dreamed there was such  a big deal.  In the end we had this homestudy that we paid for that we could only use with private agencies and some states across the USA. I began submitting it myself across the state for children that were available for adoption that I found on state websites that are located on adoptuskids. If you have not checked out that website, it is so sad!  

I ran into BRICK wall after BRICK wall. We had too many kids for this child. We had too many boys for this one, too many girls for this one,  not enough space in our home for this one, no response on many, this child couldn't have any animals with a family, this child could only go to a family with a mom, this child could only be adopted to a family with a dad.  I was really confused. I continued to pray and honestly every search I used the birthday. I just knew this little girl had to be born on this day. It was stuck in my head!  

I was so confused how a family would be so called to adopt. We became adopt "ready" and "waiting" and then BOOM nothing. Our hearts were open, soft, and willing to answer a HUGE calling but nothing was happening. We saved money. We looked at different options. I tried to ignore the calling. I laid in bed at night and wondered if there is not a child available then why won't this feeling go away. We have four beautiful healthy children. We have more than enough. Why more! Why is the feeling and need so strong that our family is to grow again. Why is the desire so strong and it was not even there months before?

I took my concerns to my knees. I wanted immediate answers but I got nothing!  Apparently waiting is not my TALENT!!!

I was SO against a MULTI LEVELED business! WHAT CHANGED MY MIND!

Years ago, I made up my mind that multi leveled companies did not work. This is what I thought: only one person makes all the money, there is NO such thing and that people must be making this stuff up. I had decided in my mind that NO one is ever successful with multilevel companies. I even tried a few. I was very unsuccessful and very set against ever trying it again.

When I graduated with my teaching degree I was invited to a HOME party and went to support my friend but decided before I got there I would not buy anything. This is HOW against I was to any sort of MLM! 

WHAT CHANGED??

The biggest thing is DEBT! We had LOTS of debt that happened FAST! It wasn't like we just went out and bought a lot of stuff.  We were NOT buying or going on fancy vacations. We were NOT big spenders. I drove a humble little van named OLD BETSY which we passed on to another sweet family that loves her now!  We just had a LOT of things happen at once. I'll give you some examples: Teeth problems, car problems, house problems, some extra adoption expenses that we didn't plan, therapy for our newly adopted children, tutoring, doctor bills, sickness unexpected, and more that I can not remember. Our emergency fund depleted quickly and credit cards started to add up. We sold some things but then a time came when I found myself on my knees and felt so bogged down with debt. I truly felt that we would adopt again but there was NO way adoption would be in our future with so much debt. I could NOT see a way out. We had dreams of helping our sons serve missions and do big things but those things seemed too big at the the time. 

It was JULY 2013, by this time I had heard of  It works for over a year but finding 100 to join the business and a team to make it happen seemed too big of a task.  I found myself on my knees in my closet pouring out my heart to God begging him to show me a way to pay off some of this debt. I was raised in a debt free home. It had to be something I could do on the go with my large family. I felt prompted to call my friend about It works again. I dismissed my thoughts with negative ones of how silly it was and that it would never work! 

An entire month went by and the thought of IT works just lingered in my mind. FINALLY, August 31, 2013, I dug up 100 bucks and called my friend to join the business. I had NO idea what I was doing or what any of the products were. I just decided to start what I felt I should!!

This is what changed!

1. I believe with my WHOLE heart GOD opened my eyes to something I could not see before! 

2. I found a company that was debt free. There are SOOO many companies to choose from but there are NOT many debt free ones. 

3.  I didn't want one that would suck up a TON of money up front and cost TONS of money a month to run. 

4. I needed something I could REALLY work from home and on the go.

5. I had to have a product that could really sell. Overall health and weight loss is a HOT product. 

6.  The LORD knew exactly what he was doing when he put me in the path of It works.

Little did I know It works had been in this area. I had NEVER seen or heard of it and I joined a team that was 12 hours from me! I ended up loving that I could grow my own team. I love that we can work and train from any where in the world too! 

Sure I would love for you to join us too. Do I tell my story to get you to join our team? Of course I do, but I tell my story to share with you....this.....Are you praying for a change?  Are you hearing the answer and not listening?  

Maybe it's a call to get out of debt, maybe it's a call to adopt, maybe it's a call to join my company with me, maybe it's a call to start another job, maybe it's a call to quit work, maybe it's to slow down and smell the roses......LIFE is too short to not listen to what our heart is telling us!   I"M SO GLAD I listened...I would have missed SOO Much!

I LOVE being home with my baby girls! 

I love every day waking up and knowing we get to spend the day together and LOVE kissing and cuddling and LOVING on them every single day! 

I would have missed all of this if I had not listened!!!

When Baby Number 9 Joined our Family! Part 1

She wasn't really a baby and her story is the most precious to me.

 It is so precious that sharing it has been difficult. It has been on my heart to share for awhile but opening up our story clearly sets us up for judgement for those that don't walk in our shoes but we have found that it helps more people that are traveling their own adoption path so we share to help others!  

When we first began our journey our hearts were pricked by adoption when several of our friends were adopting. Our children asked us to pray about it. I thought they were crazy. I was in NO place to adopt as I was trying to finish my degree in Early Childhood.  We were broke and I wanted a  house and land. The story is here. 

There was  a dream involved. I didn't share much of the dream in the above blog but in the dream there was a little girl and she was a Caucasian girl and it was her birthday! I was surprised at how much she looked like my other children.  

In the days that past as we went on our with adoption journey I never EVER forgot her or her birthday or that she looked like my other kids. In fact as I searched websites on Adoptuskids.org I did searches for that birthday.  The date rang out in my mind so clear. I was certain our child would come to us and that would be her birthday.  I was so confused by it. I finally decided that it was a dream and what we needed to get us started on our journey. 

We adopted four times and NONE of them looked like our other children nor had the birthdate from my  dream.

Why did it take take me a WHOLE year to join!!!

SOMETHING I LOVE SO MUCH NOW!!!

I can not imagine that it took me an entire year to join this company!

Here's what held me back!

1. I was afraid of failure!

2. I thought I had to know EVERYTHING  about the business and product to promote it!

3. I was afraid to spend money to start a business!

4. I had never tried the products!

I look back now and LAUGH! All these thoughts and I even joined a make up company in between the year that I watched IT WORKS! I was truly looking for something to do on the side! 

I didn't have a lot of extra time with such a large family and I already worked full time  to do another job that took me away from my family more so I really needed something I could do ONLINE after work and ON the go!

After much research this is what I found:

1. There is a RISK of failure at anything!

2. I learned as I went! I am involved in a great team and the beauty is you can work at your own pace!

3.  There are NOT many businesses that don't cost money to start up. You can presale 4 wraps to pay for your start up kit so that you are not out any money.  I would NOT suggest borrowing money!

4.  You can try the products as you go and earn money and free products!!!

It is a true WIN WIN! The company has a perfect combo to help others make money to get their family ahead!!!

Thursday night Trainings!!!

My favorite thing about Thursday is getting to train online with my team mates! We connect online from all over the place and train about our business!!! 

I love how we can have east cost and west cost and everything in between all working for one goal!  

How to afford staying at home when you already joined the work field!

This is what happened to me! I hit the work field as a teacher! My goal was not to come back home but I also had not planned to adopt a total of five children. Apparently the Lord had another plan for our family. 

After the twins joined our family being a working mom was a true sacrifice for me. I hated leaving them. I dreaded Monday. 

I hated paying a sitter. We can never replace time. The only way I could figure out how to leave the work force after entering it was to work harder! 

I had already began my journey in my side job with it works and began paying off bills but it was at this point that I decided I didn't want to work away from the twins that I knew I would have to sacrifice some sleep and time. 

It was the best choice I ever made! Now our mornings are slow and easy. I look back at that time when they first came in gratitude that the Lord gave me the desire to push myself hard to work a side job while I was still teaching. 

There's no reason to go to work outside of the home with an opportunity like this one! It's still a job but it's all from home and now during naps or early mornings! 

I love finding creative times to work my business!
